Modular Building Institute, Award of Distinction - 2019
The new three-story Bogner Hall, positioned on the Molloy College campus, contains accommodations for 96 students along with a student lounge, laundry facilities, and two soundproof music practice rooms. The new dormitory building site was prepped in March 2019 on the school’s Rockville Centre campus. Custom modular components, fully equipped with built-in utilities, allowed construction to be completed in just six months. Bogner Hall, an example of great teamwork, was designed by Spillman Farmer Architects and fully constructed off-site at the MODLOGIQ Smart Off-site Construction facility in New Holland, Pennsylvania. “Our residence halls are an important part of our vibrant campus life that supports students as they pursue their academic, personal and professional goals as they strive to become contributing members of the larger community,” said Drew Bogner, former Molloy College President. The Bogner Hall project was completed on schedule as planned and students occupied the new, state-of-the-art residence hall after returning to school for the Fall 2019 semester.
